- In the last nine months Russia has been forcing people off of foreign controlled applications and making them use state controlled applications like "Max" using their control over internet infrastructure to degrade competition. Given our movement to using SAAS and cloud infrastructure, how does this affect you as an individual to have that risk?
- The current US administration has done a radical 360 policy spin on privacy and information security norms with talk of "hacking back". How would this impact you or people you know if this trend continues?
- How are people dealing with the recent increases in deportation activity, how is this being addressed by the immigrant community?
- Multiple countries have made efforts to drag private business into the international espionage realm. How do you think this impacts over all risk of your company or employer if current political trends continue?
What things can we do personally to reduce our personal risk? Does the cost of privacy and Operations Security factor into this? Eg. GnuPG is hard to use and many encryption and secure compute products are hard to use.
